Here are the cons with verizon 1) no minutes cary forward (AT&T does) 2) no data plan less than @30 (AT&T does) 3) corporate discounts (AT&T is more - 23-25%) 4) activation is charged for corporate plans(AT&T waiveoff for corporate plans) so, overall AT&T is the best which I had earlier, by mistake transferred to Verizon and suffering now.

With a medical emergency forcing us to finally get cell phones, we went to the Verizon store on Capitol Blvd right before Wake Forest, NC and ended up walking out with nothing after being sneered at by the man working there for wanting just plain phones with no bells and whistles. Everything in the store, from devices to plans, was priced significantly higher than online. Because we live in the middle of nowhere, Verizon is the only provider we could go with. If not, the unpleasant time spent in that Verizon store would have kept us from ever doing any business with them. We went online, found the cheapest plan that met our needs, sent off for them and they were here two days later. Setting them up was easy and we can actually get some reception. The quality of the call isn't the best; in fact, it's got an echo but I didn't really expect it to be that great, considering it's just a phone.

Overall I've been happy with my original droid but the coverage in Colorado is quite spotty and I regularly drop calls in the city of Denver or am limited on their 1G network. My phone will say 3G with 2/3 bars but the second I do anything with it the coverage drops off their 3G network. They do give decent discounts for educators
