The Samsung SCH-R500 is a great phone. I love it even though it is too high tech for me. I still cannot figure out the camera feature, but it will come in due time. I highly recommend this cell phone. I love hearing it tell me who is calling or the number that is calling. I enjoy being an Alltel customer. The phone as I said is great. I am very happy with it.

There are a lot of things I like and some I do not about the Samsung SCH-R500. I do not like that I can't put speaker phone on when I'm on a call. That option isn't there when I look for it. I do have the volume up on high, but that's not what I want. I also can't figure out how to do a 3-way call with this phone. Please let me know if I can. I like the loudness of the rings too. I have a couple of buttons stick on me when I text message.

I like the design of the Samsung SCH-R500, but whenever I try to use the camcorder function, the cell phone freezes up and I cant do anything. I have to take the battery out and restart the cell phone which is a pain. Also, sometimes if my cell phone is in my pocket and I pull it out, the back light on the screen does not turn on. Then, I have to take the battery out and restart again.

I have really been enjoying my Samsung SCH-R500, however there are features that I am not sure what to do with. The calls are clear and very seldom do I lose a call. I believe it was a great choice. I would like to have more choices for the color of the face plate. I have only seen red, blue, yellow diamond, and green diamond. I was looking for something in the line of purple or orange.

Nice phone, great service from Alltel for our area. The Samsung phone could be improved by providing a 2.5mm audio jack, which is standard on a lot of phones....such a jack would make it much easier to use with some other electronic devices, such as headsets. The keyboard on the "HUE" is prone to errors because the keys are "too flat", if they were raised a millimeter there would be a better "feel" for the key and likely less error input. The phone works really well most of the time. I would not buy this phone again however, I would not want a phone without a 2.5mm jack, a better key set and maybe a little brighter display.

I love the phone. I love that I can put music on it and listen anywhere I want to listen. It has the worst battery EVER, though! That battery don't last more than a day and I work 24 hour shifts and when I work and I get a lot of texts or something, the battery dies! Other than that the phone is great!
