I like this phone a lot. I had the RAZR before and battery life was about 50% after 1 year. The functionality of the Blackjack is much better, there are many shortcuts to important menus and even though I do not use the phone for data transfers yet, I believe that it is a good phone for call and text message use. The design is great, the screen is huge compared to the overall size and I love the keys.

I have had the Blackjack II for just a week and I have to say that I LOVE IT!!!! It is really easy to use once you get the hang of it. I have to say @ first that I did not think that I was going to like it because I am so used to flip phones. But after using it the first day. All I can say is WOW!!! I love the buttons because on all the flip phones you have to hit the key until you get the letter that you want and with this phone you do not, all the buttons are separated. I love having the internet and being able to do things w/out having to actually get on the computer. This is really nice and a big step up from the flip phones. I love the big screen and the fact that I can scroll down with the wheel or just click down. I love all of the options and the color of the phone of course it is my favorite color!!! But I have to say this phone is the BOMB!!!

The battery on the Samsung SGH-I617 lasts so long. I only have to charge it once a week with moderate usage. I never have dropped calls. The call quality is great too. I have owned a Motorola RAZR, a Nokia N75, and a BlackBerry Pearl and this has been the best so far. I love it and would buy another if I needed it.

The free phone was great. The service works well in the areas that I travel.

The Samsung SGH-I617 Blackjack II is horrible. I had it only for a couple of months when the middle button on the "track disk" went out. I replaced it with another Blackjack and then the "Enter" button went out. I also had to constantly reboot the phone every other day or every day as I could not get on the Internet on the Windows Mobile browser. It would give me an error. Once I rebooted it was fine, but it is a real pain to reboot when you are needing information quickly. I like the calender and how it shows the appointments coming up. The ease of the phone was good also. The quality of calls were not as good because the phone has to be up against your face which makes you sound like you are mumbling.

This is my first step into the pda realm and I am glad I purchased this device. It's easy to use, great to transfer music and videos to and from a pc.

I really like my Samsung SGH-I617 and service plan. It works well with the cell phone. The call quality is great, but then again I went from a RAZR and it was terrible. The Blackjack II is a great cell phone. The bluetooth is a must for long talkers since it is a flat faced cell phone, it gets sticky and/or uncomfortable when it is warm, but it is great all around. The battery life is a bit lacking, but not too bad though.

Excellent phone, I got it because I heard a lot of great things about WM6. This phone help up the expectations. The phone looks great, call quality is excellent, it looks great with the black piano finish. Connecting with bluetooth or USB is a breeze, but the only problem is that you cannot sync when you're on a VPN connection.
The only inconvenience I found is that the track wheel is most times worthless at its best. And the battery is probably a little bit on the weaker side but still works great for purely voice calls. I have to be honest the blackberry's are much easier to use but do lack the flexibility that the WM6 devices have. I would definitely recommend this phone for users who are not expecting a blackberry from this one, it sometimes needs a little bit of basic windows networking knowledge to get things to work.

I love my blackjack II, as far as AT&T...I am not quite too impressed. My experience with Let's Talk has been great too. Thanks for guiding me to my new favorite phone.

The best phone ever! Use of internet is easy, I can watch "lost" so on.
The best service I guess, freeway traffic information and movie information and GPS. I love my blackjack 2!

Great speakers in the earpiece and for speakerphone. Can get reception in areas other phones can't. Running the phone's applications is fairly easy, though the start up booklet only helps half the time. Keyboard is easy enough to use and the jog wheel makes scrolling a breeze, except that the wheel can sometimes jam with the selection button. You can add shortcuts to any program by adding "hot keys" to the keyboard. A battery will normally last 4 days, switching back and forth between G and E service, making calls and texting every one of those days. Overall, the phone is well worth the purchase for a smartphone.

Great phone I got it about a month ago. The design is very sophisticated, sleek shiny black. Buttons are very easy to text. The sound quality of the mp3 player is awesome. One thing I notice that wasn't so great was is that dirt or dust got in between the screen so u can't clean. I don't know how it happened but it happened!

An absolutely amazing device! I investigated a number of Smartphones before making this purchase, having been amazed by friends' blackberries and treos. I have to say I'm happy with my decision, as all my expectations were exceeded. The integrated gps pairs nicely with google maps, and in fact I am amazed at the software being produced for wm6, even if there seem to be some backward compatibility issues with software written for wm5. None the less, even the currently available freeware opens a world of possibilities with regards to customization.
So far, my only complaint is that yahoo IM has proven to be somewhat quirky. Sometimes I don't get IMs, or I get them hours after being sent, or the same IMs appear 2 or 3 times in rapid succession. I am as yet unsure if this is a hardware or network issue, but I suspect the latter. This is the only area where the blackberries have seemed to have an edge. My girlfriend relies on yahoo (on, you guessed it, her blackberry!) instead of SMS, and we are both frustrated by this.
For the most part, though, it's an incredible gadget for one who loves gadgets. I recommend it to all who ask, but in the meantime enjoy having the best phone around...especially since two Iphone owners who spent much more than I did have told me they are jealous!
Thank you, LetsTalk!

Love the phone its great looking and has large screen. I like the windows mobile and with Vista and the new mobile device center works great. I can also synch bluetooth with ease. The camera and camcorder function works great. Takes really good pictures great when you don't have your Digital Camera. I wish it had a 3.2 megapixal camera. I wish it had better customization of the start menus and function keys. Other wise great phone. I have owned the Razor the SLVR- 7 and this blow them all into the weeds.

I have to say this is one of the most fun and distracting phones I've ever used! For texting and keeping in touch via e-mail, plus some Internet research, it's a great tool. As far as calling, it's not the best. At home having 3G drains the battery and causes many dropped calls. Forcing the phone to the Edge network helps a great deal. Hopefully they'll be able to fix this with a software update. Otherwise, happy with the phone and looking forward to more improvements.
