The Samsung SCH-U740 is the best phone I've owned (previous phone was a T-Mobile Sidekick). Verizon Wireless is the only service that I can use everywhere. I could not use T-Mobile at home, which is why I switched - got a great phone in the process!

I love how it can either be a landscape or portrait. I also love the QWERTY keyboard. It's great for those who just need the Samsung SCH-U740 for occasional use for calls and messages. I like how the Samsung SCH-U740 gives you a status on the phone screen. I didn't know until I tried it that the camera also offers color effects like black and white, sepia, etc. If you message a lot, the QWERTY keyboard is a little small, but it's great for a compact phone. I compared it to my former Motorola RAZR, and it's a little skinnier than that. If you use the phone a lot, then the battery does wear a bit more, but no big deal since you have a charger with it.

I mainly got the Samsung SCH-U740 for the size and QWERTY keyboard, not to mention changing the display from a normal to a landscape message type. The QWERTY keyboard is easy to use, although on a bit of a small size, it works for me since I don't message often. Even the speakerphone has great sound quality. I like how you can change the front display to digital rather than analog. Also, you can display the alarm clock, voicemail, or message on the screen, which is very helpful especially with the alarm clock. I love Verizon. They have great reception everywhere with no dropped calls. I've only had the phone less than a month. I love the option of ring back tones rather than hearing a traditional ring. I'd get this phone if you just want something simple and you don't need that much other than occasional messaging and phone use.

Everything about the Samsung SCH-U740 is wonderful except for the battery life. It needs to charge every day, which I am not used to because my old phone would go for at least three days. The sound quality is great and the features are wonderful. I am still playing around with all the things this phone can do. I mainly chose this phone because of the flip design and the ease of the texting keyboard, that is a huge star on the overall rating. I would recommend this phone to anyone who does lots of texting.

My family has 3 of these phones, great in looks, small in size. Our two complaint's are: the clock on the face does not stay on you must open the phone for it to come on for a few minutes. The keypad is so small people with bad eyesight have a hard time seeing the letters.

It is a very practical phone to use especially for texting and it has some very interesting and useful features.I actually got it for my teenage daughter who just loves it but now my wife and I wish we had gotten it for ourselves instead of the standard phones that we got for ourselves. I am going to replace my other two phones with this one if there is ever a sale.

I got the juke is I loved the style, and the way it opened. I have Verizon as my carrier, and in Waterloo, WI the Verizon net work is not the strongest, US Cellular is, but my daughter is a flight attendant, and we fell Verizon has the better nationwide network. As we travel that is the case. But due to my home location the battery drains fast due to hunting for a signal all the time. Most of the time I have one bar, if I am very lucky, two bars. However, I love the phone, it fits in a pocket, and is easy to hold & talk into. I hope this twist style is carried forward, so when this one gets old, it can be replaced by a similar phone. Also the music speakers are very strong & clear. If there was any thing I would change it would be the wheel is a little sticky, but it is a minimal issue.

This phone is sleek, good-looking and never fails to make people go "Oooh!" in amazement when they first see the dual flip. The call quality is not great, which can be annoying on longer conversations, especially in places where reception is not perfect. However, it gets the job done. The keys are very tiny, so this is not a good phone for someone with large fingers. I had trouble downloading a ringtone; it disappeared a few days after I bought it because the phone wouldn't recognize the file. The ring tone selection is miserly at best. Other than that, I love this little phone.

I owned a 500 PDA and felt powerful.. this phone has the same features in a smaller smarter design. I am glad I ditched the larger size phone.
