I have been very pleased so far with the ATT Tilt 2 running Windows Mobile 6.5. I had a blackberry and then a Samsung Blackjack, and two HTC Tilt 8925s. The original Tilt has been a favorite of mine for quite some time, due to having most of the features that I needed in a phone and also being supported by third party developers and having access to all of the software available for Windows Mobile. I have been quite impressed so far by the HTC/ATT Tilt 2. I was a bit worried about the performance because of some of the reviews that I ran across on the internet. Some people seem to have been disappointed by the performance. Well let me tell you, so far, my phone is performing right on par. In stock configuration it's running very nicely as long as it is not massively overloaded. There are some great programs available to optimize memory usage should I have a problem with lagging or freezing up of the phone. I am enjoying the Touch Flo 3D interface so far. I was a bit worried about my bulky fingers but this phone responds to my touch in way that almost seems magical. They keyboard has big keys with good spacing, so this would be a great phone for anyone who has had a problem with other smartphone keypads being too small for their fingers. I have decent size hands, and this thing could take a gorilla paw it seems like. The only complaint that I have so far is minor and not unique to this model, and it would be battery life. All smartphones that I have used with features like this seem to have the same problem, and the battery life on this phone seems to be much better than the original Tilt, which was plenty for me. As far as cosmetics go, the phone is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The stunning looks attracted to me to the phone in the first place when I began waiting patiently on the release date, and I would be hard pressed to decide if I like the looks or performance better. The phone is not at all bulky compared to similar phones that I've used with full slide out keyboards. Also, the number pad setup on this phone, which has the number pad in the middle of the qwerty keyboard instead of along the top like the touch pro 2, works beautifully. I was worried about this because I wasn't crazy about the similar setup on the original Tilt, but this combination flows very easily and works great. I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone who is in the market for a premium touch screen smartphone. It was this or the IPhone3GS, and I'm so glad I chose this and unless a drastic change in my opinion occurs, I wouldn't trade this in on the iphone for anything in the world.
